I am a painter living and working in Lawrence, Kansas. I am a Kansas native and earned my BFA from Kansas State University. I then spent some time on the western plains doing graduate work at Fort Hays State University and after a brief stint in Ann Arbor, Michigan, returned home to Eastern Kansas. My medium of choice is oil. My personal philosopy on art is best summed up by the Chinese Fortune Cookie Fortune I keep taped to my easel: "You find beauty in ordinary things. Appreciate this gift".
